Angular Stomatitis

Angular stomatitis is typically caused by leakage of candida-infected saliva of the angles of the mouth. mouth. It is a clinical entity which can be brought about by several causes, viz., malnutrition particularly deficiency of riboflavin, monilial infection, as a feature of seborrhoeic dermatitis, or as a complication brought on by an ill-fitting or sensitizing denture, or by pipe smoking.
