Acne Vitamins

Acne is a skin disease. Vitamins and minerals play an important role in the treatment of acne and other skin disorders. Vitamins and minerals are very important for the functioning of the body. Acne can have severe effects on its sufferers, including emotional stress and low self-esteem. Sometimes lack of herbs, minerals and vitamins can lead to acne. Acne often arises at puberty, when hormone production go into overdrive. These hormones stimulate the production of oils which often become trapped in pores, causing blemishes. Sebum is an oily skin lubricant which is produces from these hormones. Vitamin is essential for acne-free skin. Vitamin A produces a lot of the effects of the drug retin-A and accutane but without the side effects. This vitamin is necessary for the repair and maintenance of the essential tissues from which the mucous membranes and the skin is made. Zinc is essential for absorption of Vitamin A and also regulates levels of Vitamin E in the blood. It also boosts the immune system and helps kill acne bacteria.

Vitamin B5 plays a vital role in the production of Coenzyme A, as it metabolizes the skin oil. Vitamin B1 provides energy production, better digestion and metabolism. It also functions as an antioxidant ridding your body of toxins. Vitamin B helps in the maintenance of healthy skin and relieves stress and anxiety. Stress plays an important part which can be the cause of acne. Vitamin B includes Riboflavin, Pantothenic acid, Thiamine, Niacin, Pyridoxine etc. Selenium is needed for skin elasticity. It also boosts the action of the other anti-oxidants. Chromium helps in diminishing skin infections.  To obtain enough of chromium in your diet, it ought to be consumed in either two supplemental forms: chromium polynicotinate, or chromium picolinate. Vitamin E is helpful in tissue repair and healing and prevents the excess fats accumulation in the body, cell damage and the formation of the free radicals. Although vitamins are important to treat acne, the most important nutrient for the treatment of acne is not a vitamin, mineral, or an herb. Without it your hormones get way out of balance and you get acne.
