Acne Scar Treatment

Acne Scars are the marks, which are left after the treatment of acne. Acne refers to lesions or pimples caused when the hair follicles on the skin become plugged with oil and dead skin cells. There are two types of acne scars: pitted and pigmented. The term " scarring " refers to a process where collagen within the skin is damaged from inflammation, leading to permanent texture changes in the skin. Prevention of acne scars is the best way to avoid future problems. Acne Scars is common skin conditions in patients with darker skin. The best way to deal with acne is to get treatment soon after the acne appears to prevent further severe acne and more scarring. One form of treatment is laser resurfacing , which can be done in the doctor's or dermatologist's office. Old acne scars can also be reduced with the disciplined application twice a day every day for a few months of Bioskincare cream. Some ways to prevent acne lesions is daily washing of your face with an antibacterial soap and avoiding the use of heavy lotions on the face and acne prone areas of your body.

There are a number of acne scar treatments available through dermatologic surgery. The scar treatments that are currently available include: Collagen injection. A cream acne scar treatment can help to improve very fine acne scarring. These creams work by helping to encourage collagen production in your skin. Pitted acne scars are one of the most difficult skin problems to treat. The best way to prevent post-inflammatory changes caused by acne is to prevent acne lesions from occurring. Pitted scars are a sign of permanently damaged skin tissue. Collagen treatment usually does not work as well for ice-pick scars and keloids. Some of the acids used for acne treatment are used as acid peels to remove scar tissue. It takes about a week for the skin to heal after these treatments, and there is often reddening and discomfort during the healing process. Surgical removal (or excision) of acne scars is especially effective for ice pick and boxcar scars. The excision may be in the form of a punch that is closed with sutures that are removed about 7 days later.
