Acne Scars

Acne Scars are the marks, which are left after the treatment of acne. Acne refers to lesions or pimples caused when the hair follicles on the skin become plugged with oil and dead skin cells. Most serious scarring is caused by the more severe forms of acne, with nodules more likely to leave permanent scars than other types of acne. According to this system acne scars are classified as icepick, rolling, and boxcar based on the appearance of the scar. The term " scarring " refers to a process where collagen within the skin is damaged from inflammation, leading to permanent texture changes in the skin. All acne scars are not alike. A forceful inflammatory response can have two results. The most common outcome is loss of tissue as collagen is destroyed. Acne Scars affects 30% of those with moderate or severe acne vulgaris. It is particularly common in acne conglobata and acne fulminans. Prevention of acne scars is the best way to avoid future problems.

Acne Scars is common skin conditions in patients with darker skin. The condition is common in puberty, especially among Western societies most likely due to a higher genetic predisposition. Ice pick scars are usually too deep to be treated with any acne scar resurfacing. Color changes in acne in more common than scarring and can resolve but may take years to completely disappear. The best way to deal with acne is to get treatment soon after the acne appears to prevent further severe acne and more scarring. One form of treatment is laser resurfacing , which can be done in the doctor's or dermatologist's office. Old acne scars can also be reduced with the disciplined application twice a day every day for a few months of Bioskincare cream. Some ways to prevent acne lesions is daily washing of your face with an antibacterial soap and avoiding the use of heavy lotions on the face and acne prone areas of your body.
